I'm sorry, I just couldn't let it go.

Remember the post where I was drove nuts reading a great book (Winter Solstice by Rosamond Pilchard) where the characters kept drinking a tea called Lapsang Souchong ?  

I just couldn't hold back from clicking the order "now button" on Amazon. Guilty! OOh and it felt so good. I just HAD to smell and taste that tea. 


Honestly, I did try to find it around here but with absolutely NO results, unless you count store clerks thinking I was a nut ready for the loony bin.  I do suppose a customer asking for some kind of tea that can hardly be pronounced could seem like a silly prank.


AND, the results are..... worth every penny (considering shipping) spent. My curiosity is fulfilled, if I were a cat I would be dead.




Just as the description on the box states, It dose taste smokey. When I opened the box it smelled just like your clothes after hanging out by a good strong campfire all evening.  



I'm thrilled that I was able to live out a scene in a book, by partaking of a drink that I've never heard of or tasted before, now THATS what reading is all about. New Experiences!

A Birthday party 🥳

  Tuesday night we celebrated the birthday of a close friend. We went out to eat at a local well-known restaurant in new Smyrna call The Garlic. I have wanted to go there for years, so it made the celebration extra special for me. What a wonderful surprise, it really is an interesting restaurant. I haven’t seen a restaurant as decked out as this one in years. They have so many wonderful things to look at and the food was incredible.  The dishes that they served the food in really made the meal amazing. Everyone had a lot of fun and went away full and happy. It’s definitely a place to go for a very special occasion. I would definitely look forward to doing it again.

This is the last post of the winter season, hope to see you in the fall. Everything is wrapped up here in Florida so we are ready t “migrate” north for the summer.  I’ve enjoyed chatting with you and will miss our times together.  So long for now. I bet you can tell where I am.

Yup! You guessed it the cat place, where you can drink your drinks, munch your snacks and pet cats the whole time, or if your like me you sit and watch the cats the whole time.  Tori was of course in her glory, petting a smooching cats everywhere.  Each of the cats have a pink or blue ribbon on them identifying them as male or female and with their name so you can look them up on a paper, that is on a table in the room, so you can tell how old they are.  I did find it very interesting watching the different cats interact with each other and us. They have little treats you can buy to entice them to come to you to be petted.  Tori was like this practically the whole time, this is her "happy place," amongst cats. Goodness she can go on and on about the virtues of each cat and she only met them once. This cat below is my kind of cat, wonderful to be seen but not touched.
