From one porch to another.

Charlie and his friends have hearts of gold. They volunteer their spare time to work on homes that need help in our park.  There is no way on earth I would even dream of tackling their current project, it is way beyond my imagination. They are removing a screen porch from one home, that is being taken out of the park soon, and putting it on a home in the park that had its original similar porch totally blown off in our last hurricane.

Above and below are photos of the old porch to be re homed. These porches are permanent and attached REALLY well. I don't even want to think about all the hundreds of screws that have to be unscrewed to take it down and then re screwed to put back up! Just the measuring and logistics of it alone are staggering in my mind.

Below is a pic of the home that will get the porch. When they are done it will look all spiffy and have new screens and a spit shine.  You can also see below where the old porch used to be before the hurricane.  Charlie and his friends are a blessing for sure!

Sorry, but I'll stick to my simple little sewing projects. A person has to think about timing. How could I cook dinner and do laundry if I had to screw and unscrew porches all day?
