Another English thing.

Sometimes I get obsessed with an idea and can't let it go till I figure it out.  My new obsession is soft boiled eggs the English way, I know this English thing just keeps going.
I did alot of reading on it, made many attempts; too hard, too soft and just wrong.  Finally perfection!

I started with my regular large egg straight from the frig, got the water boiling and popped it in. I set the timer for Four minits "exactly."

And, I waited.  Here is my little homemade egg cup, cute don't you think. I made it out of a paper towel tube cut to the right height, I guessed on that, after looking at a ton of them on amazon. I covered it with Wasi tape to make it nice and pretty. I found a small spoon in my silverware drawer, just right.

After the timer went off, (four minutes). I took it out of the water and rinsed it quickly under cold water, ( I read in one of the recipes to do that) then placed it in the holder, big end down. you are supposed to be able to crack a little line around the top and flip the top off, sadly I am an armature and have to crack it up and pick it off.

I was so excited, perfection, white part done and the yolk still runny and warm!!!  I savored every little tiny spoon full, delectable, totally mouthwatering, nothing like it anywhere.

See, good to the last scoop. Stuff like this make my day, not to mention I just love eggs anyway, adding a new way to eat them is icing on the cake.

I hate to tell you I'm sitting here writing this, drinking hot sugar free Tang, yes, I know its normally a cold drink.  I happened upon it while drinking some hot regular black tea one afternoon, and thought, what could I add to pep it up?  So I dumped a little of the Tang in and, Pow! a super duper drink!!  Now I drink it in the evenings, just hot water and sugar free Tang, no tea.

So there I leave you with a little English and American food.
