Another British thing.

I know you think I'm crazy obsessed, your right I am but I think this could be the end of it....Maybe.
Every British blog I read has someone or another eating Weetabix. Really, people! Do you know how hard it is to find this stuff? Its as bad as that strange smoked tea I was after for so long. I did end up ordering it on Amazon, remember. But I was NOT going to pay $18.00 for a box of cereal from them, I don't care where it is from. I do have my limits!
Buy some amazing chance I found a box of these in a clearance store amongst a bunch of other cereal. At first I thought I was mistaken and read it wrong,( like the time I thought the show 60 Minuets was 60 Seconds and couldn't figure out why it kept dragging on.) but it was the real deal. I was over the top excited to try it. So I rushed right home and popped it open.

Here it is all open. They are biscuits and come in sleeves like Shredded Wheat. Some people in the Amazon comments section of purchased page stated that they are really similar to Shredded Wheat. WRONG! They look like tan, dried and packed fish scales. Shredded Wheat looks like tiny hay bails. The similarity stops at the packaging.

They said the consistency changes quickly. Some people like to eat them fast while still crunchy and others liked to take their time and let it get mushy.  I will clearly state, "They taste NOTHING like Shredded Wheat!" They start out a little crunch like dried wheat fish scales and then suddenly if your not quick they turn into baby mush. I have to admit I love baby cereal so the mush was good tasting but I don't care for mushy adult cereal so I was clearly disappointed in this whole experiment.

Happily the anti quilt factor was that we are supposed to be eating pretty much Gluten free. So, I didn't feel bad pitching the whole box.  Oh ya, I forgot to say I only paid $1.00 for the entire box! WIN!
My curiosity is now appeased and I'm no longer temped by the "what ifs" now that's a great feeling. Now I just need to stop reading British books about strange things I know nothing about.
