A Theme Dinner.



I had so much fun! A theme dinner with friends over, Charlie did not even know the theme.  
KALE! Each dish had Kale in it, doesn't seem possible, but that's the miracle of Pintrest. And, I must add a LOT of Kale in each recipe. 
 I got the idea because I have just finished planting about 30 kale seedlings in our raised bed and got to thinking, I can only eat so many kale smoothies. Ta Da, why not look up kale recipes, and then invite a couple we know over, (that also eat kale) for a surprise dinner. They are moving from one home in the park to another, and would probably like a "just come for dinner" invite, no need to bring a dish.


Above is the main course but i did not picture it all together, its also Paleo; Kale,  A  Kale sweet potato and chicken recipe for the entree. 



A bread for the side, not really necessary but it added fullness to the meal, Kale and Feta bread. (melt in your mouth Yummy!)



Believe it or not Kale brownies for desert and soooo gooood ! I would not have believed it if you hadn't told me that there was kale in them!


We had so much fun eating and discussing the meal, everyone agreed that everything tasted great and it was fun doing a theme. 

All the recipes are on pintrest and many many more, so i guess i will have no problem finding things to do with the bushels of Kale I hope to get out of my garden.

Yup! You guessed it the cat place, where you can drink your drinks, munch your snacks and pet cats the whole time, or if your like me you sit and watch the cats the whole time.  Tori was of course in her glory, petting a smooching cats everywhere.  Each of the cats have a pink or blue ribbon on them identifying them as male or female and with their name so you can look them up on a paper, that is on a table in the room, so you can tell how old they are.  I did find it very interesting watching the different cats interact with each other and us. They have little treats you can buy to entice them to come to you to be petted.  Tori was like this practically the whole time, this is her "happy place," amongst cats. A Birthday party 🥳

  Tuesday night we celebrated the birthday of a close friend. We went out to eat at a local well-known restaurant in new Smyrna call The Garlic. I have wanted to go there for years, so it made the celebration extra special for me. What a wonderful surprise, it really is an interesting restaurant. I haven’t seen a restaurant as decked out as this one in years. They have so many wonderful things to look at and the food was incredible.  The dishes that they served the food in really made the meal amazing. Everyone had a lot of fun and went away full and happy. It’s definitely a place to go for a very special occasion. I would definitely look forward to doing it again.

Ta Ta for now.

This is the last post of the winter season, hope to see you in the fall. Everything is wrapped up here in Florida so we are ready t “migrate” north for the summer.  I’ve enjoyed chatting with you and will miss our times together.  So long for now.
