A Melting Pot
Wow! check out our cool Yucca plant it is blooming. Charlie looked it up last night and said the name if it is a Mohave Yucca. Pretty good detective work if you ask me because they all seem to kinda look alike. This plant is TALL and the stalk is huge. I think it should be called the T-pin yucca because the little blooms (if you can call them that) look just like T-pins, bellow is a picture of me holding a T-pin that I found in my sewing basket.
If you can zoom in, you can see the shape of each bloom looks just like the T-pin. Also, Charlie read that the stalk is sometimes used to make the didgeridoo a native Australian musical instrument. The plant is also native to southern California.
So not only is a Florida retirement community a melting pot of people but of plants also evidently.
